Tania Brown - North West
Tania qualified as an Occupational Therapist from Salford University College School of Occupational Therapist in 1990. She subsequently worked in both hospital and community settings managing clients with a wide range of conditions including traumatic and acquired brain injury, spinal cord injury and other neurological and complex orthopaedic.
Since 1992 Tania has worked as an Expert Witness preparing Occupational Therapy and Care reports for courts for use in Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence Litigations, and has been instructed by both claimant and defendant litigating teams. She has prepared over 950 Expert reports for court and has experience of attending and giving evidence in court as an Expert Witness.
Tania is registered with the HCPC, is a member of the British Association of Occupational Therapist (BAOT) Tania is a founding member of the Occupational Therapist Medical Legal Forum and a member of the College of Occupational Therapist Specialist Section Independent Practice (COTSS-IP). She continues to be an active member of the British Association of Brain Injury Case Managers (BABICM) and has recently been co-opted onto Council.
Since 1999 Tania has also worked as a case manager with those clients requiring the highest level of management and supervision and consequently has extensive experience of working with clients of all ages with a variety of complex needs including challenging behaviours and those in a minimally conscious state. Tania has an understanding of, and has been required to take part in safeguarding vulnerable adults and in child protection procedures.
During this time Tania has also acted as clinical director supervising over twenty case managers and those working in the courts as an Expert Witness and providing services nationwide.
